Amazon India Fashion Week ’17 Lookbook #Day2

One of the very famous quotes by Carrie Bradshaw goes, “Every year the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future, this is known as Fashion Week!” I feel whether its New York, Paris, London or New Delhi, it stands the same for all the fashion addicts of every city. Fashion Week brings new energy, new ideas and of course! It’s a new season! Isn’t it?

I had diligently planned my day while I was all geared up for the Day two of the Amazon India Fashion Week! Yes, I try to at least but that’s a separate story that the day takes it own course, and nothing goes as per my plan, broadly! (LOL) The adrenaline rush, the fashion quotient, and the style statements are at their peak during the fashion weeks. The best of best is what you witness, and how much do I love all of that!!

My outfit for the day 2 was fun and playful, smart yet chic and that goes without saying that how much I had enjoyed styling it! To further accentuate the look, I got blue smokey eyes done by a professional makeup artist. I chose a blue cold shoulder dress, paired with a white jacket and silver shoes which were all picked up from the same brand – Cover Story! Oh Yeah! Even the cute printed sling bag too.

Cover Story by Future Style Lab is a subsidiary of the Future Group, and I styled my Day 2 outfit from their latest Spring-Summer ’17 collection for India- Summertime Stories. The collection is inspired by the story of two BFFs who are bold, adventurous and ready to rock the world. However, their destination is undecided and they live for the moment. I simply loved the thought process behind their latest collection. Basically, the collection picked up its inspiration from the nine unique storylines- In Bloom, Biker Belle, 5th Avenue, Costume Drama, Beach Folk, 80s Safari, Club Tropicana, Praire. Each collection is designed keeping in mind- the catwalk trend, form, fabric and fit. Floral, Strong colours, structured shapes, laces & fringes, and brocades & jacquards are all beautifully incorporated in their latest SS’17 collection, and I totally loved it! Have a look at the pictures below and let me know what you think of it?

Until Next Time, Lots of love and Happy Vibes to you all!!

Amazon India Fashion Week’17 Lookbook #day3

Fashion Week always brings oodles of excitement. At the same time, it requires tremendous hard work too. By the third day of this on-going fashion saga, I was tired of work pressure and a little sad too as all this was about to come to an end in a day. While catching up on the shows of designers like- Namrata Joshipura, Malini Ramani and Wendell Rodricks, I had to shoot for my outfit of the day for my blog’s Fashion Week lookbook too.

#day3 outfit by Genes-Lecoanet Hemant
What I wore on the day third was one of my favourite picks for the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn Winter’17. Genes- Lecoanet Hemant is a brand of the designer duo Lecoanet Hemant which is conceptualized and manufactured in India for young, happy at heart Indians. The intention is to offer the customers affordable luxury and smartly blending craftsmanship with high technology in their designs.

My pick for the AIFWAW17 was from their latest Spring Summer’17 collection.
The semi-formal range of Genes- Lecoanet Hemant was a mix of a lot of styles and techniques. Layered silhouettes put together with laser cut techniques, sparsely embellished dresses, geometric prints, asymmetrical cuts, constellation prints were seen in their SS’17 collection. I chose ‘corporate chic style’ look on the day third wherein I incorporated- navigator trousers and profile blazer to style the entire outfit. I teamed it with an off-white shirt from H&M and paired it with my Zara heels and a tote from Guess. Have a look and let me know what do you think of this look?

Tete-a-Tete with Hemant Sagar
I happened to meet Hemant Sagar during his ongoing state of the art exhibition ‘From Haute Couture to Technologies of Elegance’ conceptualized by him at the Bikaner House on 18th March’17 which utterly left me speechless. On display, at the exhibition, were over 70-80 creations; some made in Paris (1984-2000) and the other half at their Gurgaon Atelier (2000-2017), I also had a brief chat with him regarding his thoughts on the present Indian Fashion industry. See the video below.

The name Lecoanet Hemant, conjured up between the surname of Frenchman Didier Lecoanet and Indo-German Hemant Sagar, has been a part of the Haute Couture Establishment in Paris for over two decades. They started their career just like Yves Saint Laurent, Courrèges, Issey Miyake, Jean-Louis Scherer and many other prominent Fashion personalities on the benches of the “Ecoles de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne”, the unique school belonging to the Paris Haute Couture Syndicate
